Which Slowpitch Softball Bat Is Best for You?
Most slowpitch bats are 34 inches long with a 2 1/4 inch barrel, so choosing one comes down to three things: the certification your league requires, the weight, and how the weight is balanced.

Our Slowpitch Bat
The Metal Pro USA Slowpitch is 34 inches, in 26, 27 or 28 ounces. It's certified by USA Softball.

Which Certification Do I Need?
Slowpitch leagues play under different organizations, and each has its own bat stamp. Before you buy, ask your league which one it plays under.
| League | What it needs |
|---|---|
| USA Softball | A USA Softball mark, and not on the non-approved list |
| USSSA | A USSSA slowpitch stamp |
| NSA | The NSA stamp |
| Senior leagues | A senior-certified bat, like Senior Softball USA |
The Metal Pro USA Slowpitch is certified by USA Softball.

What Weight Do I Need?
| Weight | Best for |
|---|---|
| 26 oz | Bat speed and control. A good choice for most players. |
| 27 oz | A balance of speed and power. |
| 28 oz | Stronger hitters who want more weight behind the ball. |
Pick the heaviest bat you can still swing fast. If you're late on pitches, go lighter.

Balance and Material
Balanced or end-loaded
A balanced bat is quicker and easier to control, for line drives and placing the ball. An end-loaded bat carries more weight toward the end, for power hitters. The Metal Pro USA Slowpitch is balanced.
Alloy or composite
Alloy bats are ready to swing out of the wrapper, with no break-in. Composite bats need a break-in and can crack in cold weather. The Metal Pro USA Slowpitch is a one-piece aluminum alloy bat.

Questions
Is the Metal Pro USA Slowpitch legal in my league?
It's legal in leagues that play under USA Softball rules. If your league plays under USSSA, NSA or another organization, check that the bat carries that stamp.
What length should I get?
34 inches. It's the longest length most slowpitch leagues allow, and the one most adults swing.
Can I use a slowpitch bat for fastpitch?
No. Fastpitch uses lighter bats with their own certifications. See our fastpitch bat guide.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. The Metal Pro USA Slowpitch comes with a 1-year durability guarantee.
